I have always found the subject so interesting and fascinating. When I see the show "Future Weapons" on the discovery I always wonder to myself how those engineers made so far at such a young age to develop the future weapons for military use. I always wondered what you need to do. Can anyone describe what kind of qualifications and where to study at for that kind of line of work? What qualifications do you need to enter the military development for weapons? They're just engineers. Go to an engineering school, do some internships at the defense companies, get your BSE, shop your resume around until someone hires you. Same as any other job. What qualifications do you need to enter the military development for weapons?
The Military doesn't develop their own weapons.
You get a post graduate degree in something along the lines of weapons (Electronics, Chemistry, Computer Science, Physics, etc) and join up with a company who develops weapons.
Like Raytheon, General Dynamics, or Lockheed Martin. These are civilian companies.
As far as the people who test the weapons in the Military... you cannot join and do that, there is no MOS for that. It's either high ranking (Lt. Col and above) or just some lucky people who get to test weapons for a living that is related to their MOS.What qualifications do you need to enter the military development for weapons?1. Get an engineering degree.
2. Get hired by a defense contractorWhat qualifications do you need to enter the military development for weapons?
You would probably need to get at least a master's degree in engineering or physics to do that kind of work. What qualifications do you need to enter the military development for weapons?Independent military weapons developers create new weapons. These are frequently done by people who hold engineering degrees. Not all of the engineers are young either. Most weapons are developed by teams of scientists and engineers each of whom specializes in a specific function of the weapon. What qualifications do you need to enter the military development for weapons?
The military will train you for whatever field they put you into. 99% of the engineering is done at the civilian companies the military buys from.

How long can the Military hold a recruit on legal hold before they have to charge the recruit with the offense?
Can anyone tell me how long the military can old a failed recruit on a military base when a supposed investigation is underway before they have to charge the recruit with a suspected offense? How long can the Military hold a recruit on legal hold before they have to charge the recruit with the offense? That will all be driven by the UCMJ... as administered by the JAG Corps... They're going to be your source for time limits, etc.How long can the Military hold a recruit on legal hold before they have to charge the recruit with the offense? It's just like it is for a civilian, no limit. A person could be on hold for a very long time while an investigation is going on. There's no time limit during the investigation phase. Once charged there's a right to a speedy trial.
How long can the Military hold a recruit on legal hold before they have to charge the recruit with the offense?Best bet is to ask for a Lawyer, either civil or through ADC(if the person is AF, ADC=Airman Defense Counsel).
Anything other than that would constitute giving 'legal advice' which I am not a lHow long can the Military hold a recruit on legal hold before they have to charge the recruit with the offense?
If he is in the Military. They can hold him as long as they deem necessary.

Why is military training physically and psychologically challenging?
I understand the military has to "weed out" candidates who are physically, psychologically or emotionally weak, but I'm looking for a book or insight as to how military recruits are trained AND also what is the purpose of particular training exercises. I would appreciate hearing from those who've done extensive reading about military training or especially veterans who have gone through military training first hand. Why is military training physically and psychologically challenging?Because war is physically and psychologically challenging! It's job training. Why is military training physically and psychologically challenging?
The techniques %26amp; tactics used depends on what type of mission you're training for. There are a dozen ways to do everything, just like a mechanic has 10 tools in his box that all do the same thing. The more tools you have available, the more sucessful you'll be. You can IM me %26amp; we can get into more specifics about my experiences. Why is military training physically and psychologically challenging?disciplin.....its that simple
It has to be to tough. The first time you get shot at you will fall back on your training. Why is military training physically and psychologically challenging?dude, enlist and get the real first hand experience.yep the point is to weed out the wimps and other undesirables....Why is military training physically and psychologically challenging?
Because life and death situations are physically and psychologically challenging. The point of military training is to get you out of your comfort zone and teach you to function in an unknown, high stress environment quickly, decisively and properly so that when the feces strikes the oscilatory blades at a high rate of velocity you instinctively know which way to jump, what to do, and who to follow.
Is so you don't curl up in a ball and start crying when the bullets start flying over your head. Why is military training physically and psychologically challenging?
I don't know about a book but...
To answer from my point of view...
They need to break you down to your weakness...
They must destroy your confidence and re-build it the way they want it!!!
To instill instant unfailing obedience.
To ensure that only those willing to defend our nation with deadly force are in a position to do so.
It is not to make robots, or killing machines.

How to becom a weapon designer for the military?
what degrees would a person need from college to become a weapon designer for the military? Mechanical Engineering? Aeronautical Engineering?
oh and preferably a rifle type designerHow to becom a weapon designer for the military?Military weapons developments are supplied through contracts with US companies, or at least US factories.
I wouldn't worry. If you don't know basic grammar and punctuation, you have no chance. How to becom a weapon designer for the military?Well most of the weapons designs are done by outside companies
Remington, bushmaster, colt. So your gonna have to look up companies like that.
I doubt an Aeronautical engineering degree would help much with small arms designs.
The military does have groups that provide feed back on weapons and submit criteria but like I said 99% of the time the guns are made by out side companies.

Can a military spouse use a military issued duffle bag flying?
I am flying to korea to stay with my husband who is stationed there for a couple months. Can a military spouse use a military issued duffle bag as checked luggage or can only the person in the military use them? I am flying United. I know that the weight allowance is different. I am just unsure if a spouse can use them or not because they are larger then the checked luggage bags. Can a military spouse use a military issued duffle bag flying? No one cares if you use a duffle bag. But, they will care about the size and the weight. You still have to make sure that it does not exceed the size limitations, or you will be paying an additional fee for oversized or overweight luggage.
There is no difference in the weight allowed for active duty vs. non-active duty. The difference is that active duty and their dependants on official travel orders can claim any fees on their travel voucher. And, a few airlines will not charge fees. Can a military spouse use a military issued duffle bag flying?
It isn't against the rules, but it wouldn't be my first choice of luggage for my wife. We are discouraged from anything that displays military affiliation when not on official business. It is thought to make us more of a target to potential terrorists. Attracting attention to yourself when traveling overseas isn't a good idea. The military personnel you see in uniform in airports are traveling on official orders. Can a military spouse use a military issued duffle bag flying? There are not any rules in the military that say you can't and I've used Duffle Bags as my check-in luggage on planes in the past.
So yes.
Ofc, I'm not sure if different airlines have different rules. You may want to ask them first. There are no military rules that say you can't though. Can a military spouse use a military issued duffle bag flying?
don't see why not.. Peopel who have gotten OUT of the military still use them on flights. however since you are not on orders you will have to pay the baggage fee most likely. and make damn sure you stay within the weight allowance or that fee will skyrocket! Can a military spouse use a military issued duffle bag flying? You can but why would you? At most airports duffle bags are the last priority to load onto a flight and you have a higher chance of your bags showing up on a later flight. Can a military spouse use a military issued duffle bag flying?
ive seen many civilians use mil style duffle bags, to my knowledge, you can just purchase them at online and at stores that got them. its just a bag
I think you will be fine, I use a duffelbag (non military) when I fly. Just keep it under the limit and remove any insigna
