In all honesty, why are the Republican politicians so self destructive?

Once again the Republicans in the Senate didn't pass the jobs bill.

Republicans got slaughtered last Tuesday in Ohio and many Republican Governors and state Congressman were replaced with Democrats.

The Governor in Wisconsin is up for recall and I assure you, he'll be gone along with Kasich.

The OWS movement is growing daily and spreading to more cities than I could have even imagined, including Republican cities.

What will it take for the Republicans to wake up and start listening to the people in this country, or are they just totally obsessed with the wealthy, greedy corporations that have bought them and don't see, hear, or just don't care about what's going on in this country?

Your Presidential candidates are clowns. I watch the debates for entertainment.

You don't have a chance in hell of winning next year.

What's wrong with you people? You just keep digging your grave bigger and bigger. In all honesty, why are the Republican politicians so self destructive?
Honestly? Let's see if I can answer without getting reported. The GOP, driven by the TEA-sers, cannot stand the current occupant of the WHITE House. They feel THEY are entitled to it and cannot stand the color of the current occupant's suit. That fact, and their ensuing emotion, resentment, and hatred coupled with their unbridled arrogance, has left them inaccessible to anything in the way of reason, intelligence, and common sense.

~
They don't really have control of their own party at this point.

A drunken toddler by the name of the Tea Party has managed to accidentally get locked in the cockpit, so Republicans are left in the comedic position of having to pretend that every time the plane does something crazy, they meant for it to do that.In all honesty, why are the Republican politicians so self destructive?
What CAustin said. The Republican Party seems more interested in pushing social conservative views and harassing Obama than actually coming up with bills and candidates for office that don't suck. The party in general has no self-awareness.
Republicans are self-destructive because they are self-serving.

Same goes for democrats.

With power, easily comes greed.

Many people become corrupt from power. In all honesty, why are the Republican politicians so self destructive?
You seem to be forgetting that Democrats still have a majority in the Senate.

Republicans can do anything without the Democrats supporting it.
What does the OWS movement stand for? No one seemed to give a clear answer when asked by the news media.
hey CAustin....very funny....and true!
Kudo's to CAustin as well. Well put.

The only possible belief you can honestly and earnestly take away from the current field of republican nominee's...... is that they don't seriously want the job, and want no part of being the ones who actually have to be in charge for the next 4 years, because it's obvious, that they don't have a single solitary workable plan to get us out of any of these messes.

They are relishing that the economic payback for their 8 years of errors, is falling on a democrat.

They are happy to KEEP letting it rain all over Obama......so they can brainwash their base, that the democrat was to blame for all this.

They seem more interested in positioning themselves for 2016........then actually wasting any time, putting up any sort of legit fight this time. I think they KNOW they don't have a chance in hell........so they're just letting all the crazies run, and letting them have their fun, taking cheap shots at Obama.
Well, it all started with the Tea Party, when it was hijacked by right wing nut jobs. Before this, it was just a small libertarian movement, then the GOP realized it's usefulness. They used it like propaganda in a sense. They never thought it would amount to anything other than a small extreme group that would temporarily boost conservative ideas in America before dying out before the masses realized that it was just a bunch of crazies.

However, soon it's usefulness wore out, and it simply became a breeding ground for hate and incoherent nonsense. Hence that's why so many 'Tea Party favorites' are nut jobs. Unfortunately for the GOP, it didn't die out, and now unless you're an extreme conservative, you may be accused of Socialist-like ideas (See Romney, once a poster boy for conservatism... well minus being a Mormon as most of them look down on anyone who isn't a 'perfect Christian')..

Unless the leaders of the GOP just agree to lose the next election by completely berating and dissociating themselves with the Tea Party, which would get rid of just about two-thirds of all of their hopeful nominees, then the Tea Party may very well overtake the GOP party itself in the next few years. Or rather infect it and give it such a negative reputation that most Americans, even conservatives who aren't extreme, would rather not vote at all than vote for their former party.

This would of course kill the Republican Party and then there would be a new conservative party formed. That being said, I highly doubt the GOP will admit their mistake.
They're not....you even caught a couple idiots with this baseless, emotional rant.

Clowns? You think 0bama could debate Gingrich?
