Are Democrats ready to cede over 3 more governships to the GOP in eight months from now on election day?

Republicans lead the governor's races in Colorado, Nebraska and Ohio, according to Rasmussen polls released in the last few days. These three races all fall under different circumstances: Colorado is an open race in which the incumbent Democrat is not running; Nebraska has a Republican incumbent; and Ohio has a Democratic incumbent.

Running in Colorado is Denver Mayor John Hickenlooper (D) and former Rep. Scott McInnis (R). Ohio Gov. Ted Strickland (D) is being challenged by former Rep. John Kasich. And Nebraska Gov. Dave Heineman holds a big lead in his re-election battle against businessman Mark Lakers, who is so far the only announced Democrat.

COLORADO (March 4, 500 LV, MoE +/- 4.5%)

McInnis 48 (+3 vs. last poll, Feb. 4)

Hickenlooper 42 (-7)

Und 6

OHIO (March 4, 500 LV, MoE +/- 4.5%)

Kasich 49 (+2 vs. last poll, Feb. 6)

Stricland 38 (-3)

Und 7

NEBRASKA (March 4, 500 LV, MoE +/- 4.5%)

Heineman 61

Lakers 23

Und 14

If it's only three, they'll be ecstatic....
I know "Conservatives" don't like "facts", but take a look at ALL the data (not just those that fit your agenda)

- Colorado is essentially a toss-up, if you look at ALL the polls.

- Nebraska, don't forget, ALREADY has a Repub governor, thus there would be NO CHANGE there! (so what's the hoopla? :-)Are Democrats ready to cede over 3 more governships to the GOP in eight months from now on election day?
Course its early, but MA governor Patrick is likely not to get re-elected although its not clear if someone else will run in his place. Murray would probably win handily being from Central MA and very popular there which is an area republicans need to win big in to win MA.

ITs early at this point in 04 kerry led bush by 5 points.
What's "ready" got to do with it? They'll never be ready, but....Are Democrats ready to cede over 3 more governships to the GOP in eight months from now on election day?
Disappointment..

They are all Rasmussen polls and you know that rasmussen is a right-winger.

You can't really trust his polls.

Sorry.
California is up for grabs too. The worst governor we've had in my lifetime has decided he wants to be governor again! Brown! OMG! Anyone but him! Fortunately, recent polls show Meg Whitman gaining on Brown. They are in a dead heat as a matter of fact.

Right now California needs someone like Meg Whitman, someone with business experience. The last thing we need is a life-long politician! The last thing we need is Brown!

Meg Whitman earned her Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School. She joined ebay when they had 30 employees and grew it into an 8 billion dollar powerhouse. Her experience as Vice President of Stratigic Planning for the Walt Disney Company should come in handy too. And the alternative is Jerry Brown? LOL
The Democrats find that losing to Spineless Republicans 'Acceptable'
