Ohio, like most states in America, experienced an economic downturn during the 2008 recession..........
Republicans blamed Governor Ted Strickland..........
"Strickland didn't get the jobs done"..........obviously, has to be the fault of a single individual......
so Republican John Kasich gets elected 49% to 47%..........
with Ohio under Republican control, they pass a bill stripping collective bargaining rights........
everyone gets pissed off at him.......
and now look, http://tpmdc.talkingpointsmemo.com/2011/鈥?/a>
if the election were held today, Strickland would win by an 18 point margin!
Talk about quick buyer's remorse. Can you believe how stupid the average voter is?
Yes, I can believe it.
I worked retail for over 17 years. I got to see just how truly stupid John and Jane Q. Public are. I mean, getting my @$$ chewed out on Christmas Eve because our store was out of the hottest toy of the season that year tells me that the man didn't have a clue as to how absolutely stupid and clueless he was being.
"Yes, sir! Because you yelled at me because my multi-billion dollar retail giant corporation ran out of the toy this Christmas season, I will run right into my back stockroom and pull a Tickle-Me Elmo right out of my @$$. Just for you."
Collective Bargaining for PUBLIC employees should be outlawed. How is that any different than forcing all taxpayers to fund huge corporations who fund Republicans? It's not.
EDIT: SEE HOW THE LEFT IS FINE AS LONG AS THEIR SIDE GETS EVERYTHING? DOUBLE STANDARD DOESN'T EXIST ON THE LEFT.
WHY CAN'T THE LEFT MAKE AN ARGUMENT BY STICKING TO THE ACTUAL DISCUSSION INSTEAD OF SAYING REPUBLICANS "WANT TO BAN COLLECTIVE BARGAINING?" FDR OPPOSED IT. THIS COUNTRY HAS GONE OFF A CLIFF BECAUSE PUBLIC UNIONS KEEP VOTING THEMSELVES THE TREASURY. IT'S WHY NY STATE HAS THE HIGHEST TAXES AND 30% POVERTY IN EVERY SINGLE UPSTATE CITY. SPOILS FOR THE FEW. TAXES FOR THE REST.
Collective Bargaining is a myth. Public employees get whatever they want...

Notice how all these governors never said in their campaigns they would strip union rights, because it is such an unpopular view. This was the Republican plan the whole time, like it has always been. Lie to appeal to the majority and then serve the minority.
I think voters are stupid because they didn't realize the Republican strategy after Bush. Republicans are lunatics and we gave them back the keys.
If they think eliminating collective bargaining for government unions is bad, you're right - they're stupid.
Well, perhaps they will wake up when they see the fiscal benefits of not having unions and the politicians they bought divvying up the taxpayer monies to their mutual benefit, at the expense of the taxpayers.
Without that change, a lot of towns, cities, counties and school districts would be laying off people to meet budget.

Well, Zombie, intelligent governance means living within the budget, not splurging on excessive benefits that are only intended to be quid pro quo for political donations and support. Can you believe how stupid the average voter is?
Ohio got hit HARD by Bush... it was a recession there and in Detroit too before it was a recession everywhere else...
but, they voted for Bush TWICE... so... f'em... you get what you vote for cons... Ohio is pretty much done for by now from what I can tell... and I don't really feel sorry for them at all...
they may as well join the south as a red state... join the last in education and last in pay group...
EDIT: Mj谦lnir... funny how many red states don't have unions... and still have to lay off teachers by the boat load? lol
And hopefully the same thing will happen Ohio that happened in Wisconsin; Instead of a deficit, there will be a budget surplus in the School districts, More teachers will be hired, Classroom size will be smaller, Teachers will be required to work a Tremendously long 40 hr week (The Horror) they will also be responsible for their pensions (Just like the rest of us)
When Ohio voted in Kasich they voted for someone brave enough to do the right thing to save the economy of his state.
Now they are angry that someone did the right thing would prove they are stupid enough to listen to liberals.
As Ohio goes, so does Michigan. I think they and Wisconsin are have big issues with their rethuglictard governors. Wisconsin has a recall in Jan, look for big Koch dollars in that state next month.
I agree the Strickland voters are stupid. Ps on your gay question I disagree any conservatives care that gays live in nice homes. You are confusing conservatives with the party of envy (your party lead by Obummer the decisive one)
I'm predicting my stupid state will not pass issue 2 and collective bargaining will be stripped from firefighters / policemen / ect... and then the people will wonder why the fire department can't get to their structure fire on time to save it... LOL!
There was a guy on TV the other day that didn't know China had nuclear weapons and this guy is running for President of the United States!
Geez!
How can voters be expected to be smart when they're forced to choose between dunces?
People have to stop for a moment and realize Reps care for the rich only and will go after the middle class to balance their budget
I agree with Kasich I am voting YES..
They need a Democrat- crazy with all the "newly" poor in your state they still go Republican!
When you strip away Unions - you destroy the middle class!
I am constantly amazed at the stupidity of the American voter. The ones who can't be bothered to vote are even dumber.
obama got elected. so yea, i can believe it.
I like how Kasich made it his face on the vote today.
Talk about a stupid move.
Yes Obama won in 2008 that proves it
I totally read that in your voice.
When they voted GOP, yes, but now they cleaned up a bit
Hope this helps
name one good thing teachers unions do for students.....
Have you all ever sat in for a jury selection? Dam scary I'll tell you. There are plenty of idiots in this country.
