This worries me. I believe that Kasich overreached and our state will likely go blue again...
BTW, in case you're wondering, I vote generally Democratic in state but generally Republican for national elections.
Why? Because Ohio's Democratic party (at least in the majority of the state) is still pretty conservative like me.
I voted against Kasich's anti union law.
EDIT: If there is any doubt that the GOP was honest about Issue 2, it was dispelled when they started complaining about excessive state wages and benefits.
Average state worker in Ohio gets $30,000 a year...
Look at the Law here in NY State, and explain where the "Collective Bargaining" is...

Stick to the issue. Please don't respond with rhetoric or Private sector unions. Different animal.
EDIT: IS THAT ALL YOU CAN DO? JUST THUMBS DOWN? NO EXPLANATION PER THE USUAL?How will the GOP rationalize their defeat tonight when Ohio/Collective Bargaining wins?
Hopefully, the union's freespending of misinformation and fearmongering will not be as effective as they wish.
Firefighters and police officers knew and know when they sign up for the job that it is a 24/7 job that is essential to public safety. These two sectors have no right to a 'strike'.
Teachers in my experience are so incompetent that they should have pay cuts rather than to waste more money on them.
Don't know.....who will the unions blame when the state-wide lay-offs begin? Ohio has an 8 billion defict right now and state agencies will be facing an additional 7.9 billion in cuts next FY........This is not and never was about collective bargining......How will the GOP rationalize their defeat tonight when Ohio/Collective Bargaining wins?
William said it best. If the good people of Ohio think the problem is that Public Sector Unions are not getting enough benefits, then let them pay for them.

Perhaps that they didn't spend $30 million to defeat the measure, like the unions did to win it.
Lowest approval rating among liberals. He is just fine in my book.
I really doubt if they will have to, conversely I wonder how Organized Labor will critique the vote while they whine and cry foul.
Low voter turnout allowing govenment union workers to vote themselves a pay increase at the expense of the taxpayer.
Government by unions = death of America.
They wont. They will just shake their heads and say you asked for this and now bend over
They will flood YA with whining.
