Oh dear. Why does America reject Conservatism?

Mississippi 禄 Voters Tuesday defeated a ballot initiative that would鈥檝e declared life begins at conception, a proposal that supporters sought in the Bible Belt state as a way to prompt a legal challenge to abortion rights nationwide.



The proposal was pushed by a Colorado-based group, Personhood USA. The group鈥檚 co-founder, Keith Mason, says he intends to renew efforts in Mississippi, either through legislation or through another ballot initiative.



The group is trying to put similar initiatives on 2012 ballots in Florida, Montana, Ohio and Oregon, Nevada and California. Mason said the group plans to pursue life-at-fertilization legislation next year in Alabama, Wisconsin and Michigan.



Voters in Colorado rejected similar ballot initiatives in 2008 and 2010.



In Mississippi, the measure divided the medical and religious communities.



Ohio 禄 In a political blow to GOP Gov. John Kasich in state seen as key in the 2012 presidential election, Ohio鈥檚 new law restricting collective bargaining was defeated Tuesday after an expensive union-backed campaign that pitted firefighters, police officers and teachers against the Republican establishment.



Voters handily rejected the law, which would have limited the bargaining abilities of 350,000 unionized public workers by barring them from striking and taking off the bargaining table the issues of health insurance and pensions.



AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka said victory for unions was achieved among Democrats and Republicans in urban and rural counties.

The voters in Ohio and Mississippi just proved it tonight, they were able to stop the conservative right wing agenda on the American people!

did you or any other stupid liberal that answered read the ballot initiative???hmm??..the ambiguities in that initiative were stunning..putting cloning in it..cloning is illegal in miss...I'm sure you stupid libs forgot that part..oh yes and we conservatives are thrilled that in ohio that the voters REJECTED the obamacare scam mandate..we are all ok with that one..I'm sure that bites obama right in the proverbial ****.libs won some and repubs won some...but..the libs will lose huge in 2012 when this corrupt and extremely inept administration is swept out.
