Any Ohioans here - Gov. Kasich....?

Do you think his unpopularity will affect Republicans' chances at the White House? I'm a Democrat, though I agree with much of what he has done. But, I don't think cutting the state government like this when the state is a big employer in many areas of Ohio is a wise choice. Our unemployment rate is also going up due to his cutting of key industries like healthcare. Maybe it had to be done, but when our unemployment rate is rising faster than any other state's other than Michigan? Why cut those few strong employment areas?



Also, the abortion legislation he wanted to pass (not sure if it passed or not) was just ridiculous. We don't need the strictest abortion laws in the U.S., plus people don't understand that the process in getting this passed costs SERIOUS money! Kasich is unpopular among groups like union people and veterans who usually vote Republican. Strickland fought to keep businesses here, esp. in southern Ohio. I've heard of a few instances of Kasich doing this, but not often. I'm actually ambivalent about him because Ohio has been in a rut and will stay that way. No one, Rep or Dem has dropped taxes when promised.



What are your thoughts on how unpopular Repub governors in swing states like Ohio and Florida will affect a Republican's chances in 2012, esp. a conservative's chances? I'm heavily leaning toward Romney, though if he doesn't get it, I probably won't vote. Both Obama and the Tea Partiers are too extreme.Any Ohioans here - Gov. Kasich....?

I love Rick Scott. He did what anyone who has to balance a budget does. You cut. Since the cuts, unemployment has dropped and according to Tallahassee new business licenses are up.
