Why are Ohio Republicans asking the Democrats to call off the Citizens Repeal vote on the Union stripping bill?

Now suddenly the Ohio Republicans including Gov. Kasich want to negotiate on watering the law down, WHY?Why are Ohio Republicans asking the Democrats to call off the Citizens Repeal vote on the Union stripping bill?
they are afraid of what the next election has in store for them. Why are Ohio Republicans asking the Democrats to call off the Citizens Repeal vote on the Union stripping bill?
Because they are weak yankees.
To stop a repeal,,,,didn't you read that?

COLUMBUS, Ohio 鈥?Ohio Gov. John Kasich and top Republican lawmakers said Wednesday they're offering to discuss weakening a new law limiting collective bargaining in an attempt to keep a repeal effort off the November ballot.

It might have something to do with the poll released Tuesday that had 68% of the voters in Ohio for repealing the law and only 32% against repealing it. Add that on top of the Republican losses in Wisconsin while not one of the Democrats lost and I do think someone is getting nervous.
Most likely since they don't know how the vote will go. I am not fully sure, but I wish they would leave it alone.
