Ohio Governor John Kasich is a former wall street executive who is running Ohio as if it were a business, paying out huge salaries to "CEO's" at the top, while cutting services to the middle class. He also wants private firms to operate our prisons, highways, etc. Yet at the same time, he wants to tax the hell out of the casinos that are being built here. What are some of the problems with running a state like a business? Why is it a bad idea? What is the problem with running a state like a business?
Government is NOT a business and should not be run as one. Government is not intended to make a profit. Businesses are not in the habit of taking employee money and using it to build public roads or increase security. The idea that a government is a business is absurd. Even prominent business people who run for office are quick to point out that government is not a business. What is the problem with running a state like a business?
A business exists for ONE REASON... To Make Money!
A business will spend the bare minimum to support its employees, cutting costs in any way it can.
A business advertises how it "loves the customer" In reality, it is a tactic to squeeze the customer out of their money.
Apply that to *US* as citizens!
Why do you think there is a movement to amend Ohio Constitution to allow recall votes. Kasich and all who voted for his destructive programs will be voted out of office next election. Trust me.What is the problem with running a state like a business?
Businesses exist for the purpose of MAKING PROFITS.
That's all.
No other reason.
Governments exist to manage the public's daily affairs and provide services to the citizens.
It is immoral to put profits before people.
I've worked for quite a few large corporations.
They're not all they're cracked up to be.
They waste A LOT of money, and most of the people are incredibly stupid.
Maybe states should be run like a business. What would happen if Barack Obama were in charge of the finances of a business? That's what I thought.
