What prevents Kasich from simply negotiating with the unions?

Why not simply work out a deal? What prevents Kasich from simply negotiating with the unions?
The same lethal combination that plagues most right-wingers: arrogance coupled with stupidity!

Your idea makes sense in a capitalist economy and free market. Under those conditions, a union acts as bargaining agent and negotiates the best contract it can with employers. The contract is binding and legally enforceable on both sides, with terms arrived at based on market conditions and the skill of the negotiators.

However, in a socialist economy (e.g. the old Soviet Union) the wages and terms of employment are not arrived at by negotiation in a free market. Instead a centralized authority hands down edicts telling workers what they will be paid and what their work conditions will be. No protest is tolerated.

Presumably, Kasich favors the latter system, since there is actually nothing to prevent him from negotiating with the unions. In short, his actions brand him as a socialist.

Welcome to the real agenda of the Tea Party. What prevents Kasich from simply negotiating with the unions?
Because the Republican goal is to kill unions....or any group that supports the middle class. Unions are a big target. The Koch brothers funded his campaign. They are out to kill OSHA and the EPA...and unions.

Thankfully the people in OH stood against this. Now the decision will be made whether or not to try and recall Kasich. He's been handed a big dose of reality. Maybe it will wake him up and he'll be able to work with Dems to actually help the state.
Because there is no negotiating with Liberals. Negotiating with liberals just means that liberals get less of what they demand, and nothing that conservatives demand. What prevents Kasich from simply negotiating with the unions?
State labor laws most likely define how negotiations have to proceed. He most likely is barred from the authority to directly negotiate.
Have you ACTUALLY never heard of Democrats? They NEVER negotiate. They PRETEND to but it's ALWAYS in bad faith. No exceptions - anywhere - ever.
You mean other than the mindless greed and corruption that unions are infamous for?
