Does our military subsidize the healthcare of people in other countries?

Many countries like Japan, South Korea, and Germany have a large US presence despite the fact that they really don't need us there. Since they have our military there to help them, they don't have to build up their own large enough to defend themselves. This frees up their tax money to spend on other things like education, and health care. So do you think that our spending on defense is being used to subsidize healthcare in other nations?Does our military subsidize the healthcare of people in other countries?I do see your argument, but the USA is not there to defend the interests of those nations, but to defend US interests which happen to involve defending those nations.

Remember, universal healthcare in Japan and Germany costs less than the health system in the USA (per person) and has better health outcomes.Does our military subsidize the healthcare of people in other countries?
I don't think you quite grasp the true extent to HOW RICH the United States really is. The amount we spent on the two wars in Afghanistan and Iraq would have been enough to handle healthcare reform with some money to spare, or maybe bring our infrastructure up to date so I don't have to swerve around potholes every day on the way home from work...

But why help Americans when we can fight two pointless wars thousands of miles away, and get nothing to show for it economically.

The point? The US can easily afford to subsidize its own health care AND keep a sizable military force deployed overseas. Not only that, but we are SO RICH that a relatively minor across the board tax increase would probably pretty much solve most of our budget problems.

But whatever...Does our military subsidize the healthcare of people in other countries?Well you make an interesting point. The US certainly contributes a lot of money to country economies that host a military base.Does our military subsidize the healthcare of people in other countries?
Yes, we are delivering free medical care in Iraq and Afghanistan. Too bad we can't afford to help our own citizens.Does our military subsidize the healthcare of people in other countries?Yes that is what one of the outcomes of our military being in all those countries.Does our military subsidize the healthcare of people in other countries?
Yes , in Iraq .
