How do I get help from the military during and after a divorce?

I am divorcing my husband. we have a 4 year old daughter together whom he does pay child support for. Your child will always be entitled to military resources because she will still be a dependent of a service member. However, once the divorce is finalized you are not entitled to any help from the military.



The only thing JAG can do for you during the divorce process is explain to you what paperwork means. They can not be legal counsel in a divorce case. Also if he has already spoke to JAG you can not because it would be a conflict of interest. If you feel you need to talk to a JAG you would have to go different JAG office on a different base. However the military does have Regulations about child support and spousal support.
