What are some benefits of joining the military?

I am thinking of joining military and I am wondering what are the benefits of joining? I know of some like education programs and medical and dental care. There are a few others, I know of like 30 days paid vacation, housing and food allowances, and special job training, but I would like to know if there are any other benefits involved. There are a lot of benefits. But the one thing I hope you understand is please, please, please, get an mos that pertains to the civilian world. I.E. x-ray tech, mechanic, or even an mp.
