Can military spouses take their children to the Family Readiness Groups and things like that?

I have 2 small children (1 %26amp; 3). Will I be able to bring them with me everywhere on base? Like all of the classes for new military spouses and things like that? If not, I imagine I probably won't be able to go to anything. Can military spouses take their children to the Family Readiness Groups and things like that?for the most part YES you can take the kiddies with you, some times they will even arrange sitters within the same place as the meeting..........this might be something that you would like to mention to the FRG organizers as the meetings start...........with all the ones that I went too there was only ONE that they actually stated that kids could not attend but gave you plenty of notice to arrange a sitter if you wished to attend.........

As for doctors appointments and the like then it really would depend on what you was going for, if I was going for my fluffy bits to be looked at then I would not take kids with me anything else then they came with me no matter what.

Also there are often some exercise class's that again will have some sort of child care set up so that you can attend, if there is not maybe [with reference to your other questions over the time] this might be something that you could offer and suggest as a way of earning money......

Above all hun, do NOT worry or stress about the little chit, you are not the first new wife and you will not be the last that has to drag her kids with her..............just make sure that maybe once a month you make time for YOU as an adult......really is a life saver........a cup of coffee either alone or with a gf, time to look in ONE store without 2 kids............Can military spouses take their children to the Family Readiness Groups and things like that?
Classes offered through Family Services like Spouse 101 as long as proper notice is given child care can be provided for free. Family Services is run through the Post/Base command, while the FRG is run through the command your spouse is assigned to. For FRG functions it will vary some will be for children themselves, others will be children allowed and others will no children allowed. For the things that no children are allowed you can look for babysitters in your area that can do it while you are there. You also will not be able to bring your children to doctor's appointments either so something you will have to consider. Can military spouses take their children to the Family Readiness Groups and things like that?99% of the time, you are allowed to bring your children. If there is a function where you are not allowed to bring them, daycare is usually provided at minimal or no cost at all. That's what the FRG is all about; families. On our base, parents bring their children to just about everything. We just had a pre-deployment expo (my hubby is getting ready to deploy) and all the families brought their children with :)

Welcome to the Military!!Can military spouses take their children to the Family Readiness Groups and things like that?
depends on the function/event. some provide on site day care. others are family friendly and still others NO children are NOT welcome or allowed.

the classes for instance, no they cannot attend although again, day care may be provided at no or low cost.

doctor's visits: if they are not the ones being seen NO they are NOT allowed. and you are on your own to get child care. Can military spouses take their children to the Family Readiness Groups and things like that?Majority of the classes will allow you to bring children, if they don't many will provide a day care service for the duration of the class. Don't let that be the reason you don't get the information. Many of the classes are very informational.
