What are the qualifications for living on a military base?

My husband is currently over seas right now and is about to be coming home in January. During R%26amp;R suprise suprise I got pregnant. He is with a National Guard troop. We have been playing with the idea of going active duty. I want to live on Base and save some money and be around other military families. How do we go about doing this and what steps actually need to be taken? He is currently ranked as a SPC.What are the qualifications for living on a military base?First he has to be active duty.

it really depends on what base you are at... typically it's not a big thing but depending on how much military housing is available.
