Tell you what. We currently spend more than the next 15 countries combined on our military, and only 2 of them are not our friends. How dire a situation do you think would occur if we cut it in half and only spent more than the next 8 countries combined? Do you think someone would attack us?



The jihadi movement is a movement of individuals, not countries with armies. Having 3 million boots on the ground and a thousand stealth bombers will not stop a single suicide bomber.



We already pay our military, at least the lower grades, so little that many of them qualify for food stamps. And that's with the bodacious budget you think liberals are trying to attack. How much more do you want to spend on the military to make you feel safer?
