What is the process of becoming a military doctor?

I plan on doing ROTC college. I understand that I grad as a 2nd Lieutenant, but do i go straight to med school as one? How many years in the military do i have to serve as a doctor/surgeon? Can I switch to a civilian doctor after contract? Is it possible to go special forces either as a doctor, or switching to combat? What is the process of becoming a military doctor? If you want to be special forces, then do that instead of being a doctor. Not many people want to be a doctor and SF.

Well, you may be able to get a extension in order to attend med school, but you'd have to talk to that to the person who negotiating your ROTC contract with you.

Of course you can be a civilian doctor afterwards.
