For a long, LONG time I've been wanting to go into the military as a pilot. I'm not really sure what class of aircraft but as it stands now I'm thinking fixed wing. I plan to go to either the naval (Marines) or air force academy and I have no worries about getting into one of them. i have no problems with traveling but I don't want to become a Captain and get myself a desk job (i.e. Air Force). Which branch (Air, Marines, or Navy) should I enter?Which military branch should I enter in order to become a pilot?NavyWhich military branch should I enter in order to become a pilot?
go to the Citadel, then join the Corps. Not only will you be a pilot, but you'll also be wearing the most awesome uniform out of all the branches of service. And you also get the title of U.S. Marine, which is one of the best things you will be able to say about yourself during your entire time here on earth.
Ask some girls you know about you wanting to become a pilot. they'll think that's sexy all in itself. then tell them your going to be a pilot in the Marine Corps.Which military branch should I enter in order to become a pilot?air force you can fly bombers.
you want to fight? marines have fighter pilots, navy do too.
army you are looking at helicopters or c-130's.
i dreamt of being a helicopter pilot, but im color-blind so i wont be living that dream. I think the Ospreys and Chinooks are awesome choppers.
if you want to see action, fly a chopper. as a fighter pilot nowadays you have no one to compete with.
like an apache/cobra pilot is basically like being a fighter pilot but actually fighting an enemy. no one contends with our air superiority so in a fighter jet, you will be sitting behind a desk so to speak.
If you want to do something, you might as well try to be the best.
Marines!
And here is why. Marine pilots are Marines. They are the only branch whose pilots understand what the grunt is doing down there and respects him. They developed close air support and are the best at it. If you want to get into the thick of the battle and mingle with the fighters, the Marines is the only place to do it.Which military branch should I enter in order to become a pilot?Naval Air Corps is more important then Air Force Corps as I was taught. Air Force can only show their true importance if the country gets invade.
Naval Air Corps will be deploy in a minute notice since they can move by sea and not waste their fuels. The Air Force, they're not going to make you fly thousands of miles which is a waste of fuel into your location and maybe have some to return if you are. Its either havea fuel plane nearby, allow to land in friendly air field, and these planes being transport.
You can decide what sounds funnier. But we're not stopping you to join anything. If you want to join this or that, then go ahead.Which military branch should I enter in order to become a pilot?
USAF- Fly the best and most advance aircraft in the world like the F-22.
USN- Fly some good aircrafts like the F-35 and take off from carriers, something that will be a life time experience and something AF can't do.
USMC- Fly some good aircrafts like the F-35 and take off from carriers and make vertical take-off, surly a life time experience.
Marines, all the way. Back when I was in college I went on a spring break trip and got to know a group of guys in the Naval Academy...they were exceptional young men. I admire the training and character taught at that institution. Good luck!Which military branch should I enter in order to become a pilot?
I'm partial to the Navy since I used to fly in the Navy. Only advice I can give, is be the best in your class, because pilot slots are competitive at Annapolis and Colorado Springs. I wish you good luck.
Airforce, Navy, Marines, but you gotta go to college and become an officer first, I dont think you can become a pilot being enlisted and starting as an E-1. I would pick Navy
My fiancee says Air.
It takes alot, so be willing to work hard for it.
Your best chance to fly is in the Airforce.
air force i would say
