It taught me that my duty is to keep my mouth shut (If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all), and to make my voice heard in the voting booth... where it makes a difference. It taught me that it's ok to have my opinion and that everybody is entitled to theirs and that I have no right (and certainly not the responsibility) to force my ideas down their throats (nor they mine). What can the military teach about government?
It teaches you about your country wanting you to fight for it,but it aint your country who asks for it.it's a few men on top who want it,old men started young men fight it and it never ends, everyone in the field dies and no one tells the truth and is god suppose to make that all go away?Dont waste your life,i did. What can the military teach about government? Why do people lie about being veterans? I mean cmon, that John for example just look at his profile does that look like the profile of a military veteran? He sounds like he's 13.What can the military teach about government?
I'm not sure the military can teach us anything about how government works since, it's not the purview of the military. There mission is to teach the enemy's of this country what will happen if they attack the people of this country who just happen to be the government. Remember, By the people and for the people?? The military is tast to defend the government of the United States, ie; " break things and kill people".What can the military teach about government? The military does not really teach you how the government works; it teaches you though what you do the price that has to be paid to maintain the freedoms of this country. The oath is to the Constitution and not to the country or the government and that reflects that the primary purpose is defend what the country stands for and not the person in power, not the Congress but to the freedom of the people as a whole.
