I want to know if i join the military am i entitled to a free college tuition? Or anything else, or are those all lies to get me to join? What are some benefits to joining the military? They're all lies. They don't pay anyone to go to college. Go work at McDonald's.What are some benefits to joining the military?Yes as long as you have a C grade in each class you take the military will pay your tuition 100%. When you're still in or when you get out the GI Bill will cover your college. Your job training and basic training will be worth a few credits too. The Air Force training plus general education and electives will earn you an AAS degree in your career field from the Community College of the Air Force.
Other benefits are free medical and dental care, low cost term life insurance, BX and commissary shopping which are about 25% off downtown prices. Most bases have gyms, libraries, clubs, pools, fitness centers etc. The Air Force has the nicest bachelor enlisted dormitories.
I was in the Air Force for 20 years and retired. I now get retired pay, access to base shopping and other facilitie and medical care. It's not just a bunch of lies to get you to join. What are some benefits to joining the military? Those are not lies from your recruiter. They are real benefits of service in the military. The post 9/11 G.I. Bill gives service members the benefit of having their college tuition (in the state they enlisted) paid for by the government. Look @ http://www.gibill.va.gov/. Good information there. Also, the VA offers home loans for lower then normal rates. Check out http://www.benefits.va.gov/homeloans/. If you retire you get a pension that's not half bad. You can learn all kinds of skills in the military. It's a good deal. The best part is, you get to serve your country.
