How many female military personnel have died or been taken hostage in the line of duty since 2000?

I am considering joining the military to help fund my education and I want to have a thorough understanding of the risks involved for me as a woman. Where can I find these statistics for myself? What is the difference for the different branches of the US military? How many female military personnel have died or been taken hostage in the line of duty since 2000?105 female fatalities In Iraq according to the latest count. that's significantly less than 3% of the fatalities.

Fatalities by branch:

Army: 2393

Marines: 859

Army National Guard: 439

Army Reserve: 130

Marine Reserve: 129

Navy: 80

Air Force: 45

Navy Reserve: 14

Air National Guard: 3

Coast Guard: 1

The difference has to do with the mission of each Branch. Not everyone in every job in every branch is a combatant. Some services and some jobs are support functions more than warfighting units. The military needs people in many different jobs to support the people who are at the front. Look for AF medical jobs or legal, pay, personnel type jobs that are less likely to deploy if you want to serve but don't think you'd be suited to some of the other jobs. Women are officially "barred" from combat positions...most of those female casualties are people who were convoying supplies or were killed by mortars or IEDs.How many female military personnel have died or been taken hostage in the line of duty since 2000?According to CNN Special reports, 94 females have been killed since 2003. www.cnn.com/SPECIALS/2003/iraq/forces/ca鈥?br>

If you can't get it there then go on the Yahoo search engine and go under Iraq casualties and click on the CNN Special reports. Then click on the Geographical breakdown of casualties in the paragraph under Iraq. It will give you stats on just about anything you need to know. How many female military personnel have died or been taken hostage in the line of duty since 2000?you have a greatest chance of being raped than killed:
