What are some positions in the military other than a soldier?

I want to join the military but i dont want to kill anyone, and i dont want to get shot in the face. Can someone please write a list of possible positions. Thanks! What are some positions in the military other than a soldier?Recruiter! Think about it...You will most likely work in a local area and you are in the military as a recruiter. A chaplin is also a good idea but they are religious but won't affect anything. They are considered "counselor" or just someone to talk to.What are some positions in the military other than a soldier?
for any job in the civilian world there is a comparable job in the military. Let your skills and interests take you the jobs that might interest you.

Don't go talk to a recruiter yet. Most of them are idiots and the ones that aren't are still working 60+ hour weeks, so they are not thinking straight.

You can go to a recruiter and look through the 'MOS' book that lists all the jobs available. I would advise the Air Force, but that is because I wasted a lot of time in the Navy and Army with substandard training, equipment, and personnel, and would hate to see you waste your time too.

The recruiter will probably tell you that you can't 'look' through the 'job book', but if they do say that there are many other recruiters that know how to be helpful and start to walk out. Then they will let you. But then go to another recruiter before you enlist or don't give that recruiter any info because that recruiter WILL screw you for 'ruffing' him up.

If you are a American and you dn't want to kill a terrorist that wants to kill you, then something is wrong with you, but that is another issue. What are some positions in the military other than a soldier? There are tons of positions in the military that are not combat positions. While you may have to go to a combat zone, that doesn't mean that you are in a fighting unit. If you look at any of the military recruitment sites, you'll see tons of different jobs that you can actually do inside, from things related to health care, mechanics, engineering, photography, etc
Most people don't kill anyone or get shot in the face.

That being said, almost anyone can end up on the front lines but attachment, unit etc.

Unit Chaplins don't do combat but they still ride in convoys from time to time.

If you don't want to die or get shot in the face then STAY OUT of the militaryWhat are some positions in the military other than a soldier? There are thousands of jobs where you dont have to fight after doing BT (basic training "they dont call it boot camp anymore apparently") and/or beforehand you select various types of fields you may choose to go into (note that many of them you may not be qualified for or they may not have any openings for that field, and remember certain fields require extra training and more in depth training than others) you could be a radio monitor, you could be an on base counselor, you could even try your hand at being a recruiter yourself or maybe even a Drill Sergeant. Realistically you do have options but always remember that you must when needed answer the call of duty. What are some positions in the military other than a soldier?
Chaplin's are the only ones that I can think of for sure that don't carry any sort of weapon. You can try to enlist as a Conscientious Objector, but they don't have to take you and your jobs will be limited.
Soldier is an generic term that refers to one who is in the Army. There is no position in the Army called Soldier.

Why don't you go and talk to a recruiter, they can tell you all about all the different jobs. What are some positions in the military other than a soldier?
Join the Navy. Look it up on Navy.com. I enlisted and I'm no where close to being shot. I'm an ABH, which is short is an aircraft handler.
Oh crap.

Who did I kill?

When did I get shot in the face? Am I bleeding?
you have to realize that for every person putting on fatigues, there are 10 people back here making sure he doesn't get shot.
Soldier, Sailor, Marine and Airmen

Those are your 4 choices.
