When applying for military a top secret clearacne what medical records do they check?
I am in the military and will be applying for a position which I need a top secret clearance for. I know they check your military medical records, but I was wondering if they check your civilian juvenile/adolescent medical records as well. How far back in medical history do they check? Do I need to get a hold of my childhood/high school medical records to present at the interview or application process? When applying for military a top secret clearacne what medical records do they check? The form SF-86 security questionaire, also called a single scope background investigation, must be filled out. That goes back 7 years or 18th birthday, whichever comes first. There should be a form in there for you to give them permission to check your financial records (credit report) and medical record (military medical record). Your original DODMERB medical questionnaire and examination cover your pre-service medical history, so you do not need to bring anything. Once you complete the form, a special agent or contractor should contact you about an interview. Be sure to put in the requested references if at all possible, it makes their job easier. if you know people well who already hold clearances and they can vouch for you, use them as your references. The key is to have a non-family member reference for every year in the period of examination. The whole process should take about 6 months once you submit the forms. When applying for military a top secret clearacne what medical records do they check?7 years or 18th birthday.
