I am 17 and I recently talked to a military recruiter. While we were talking he mentioned a 40,000 enlistment bonus to join the army and a 20,000 bonus to join the army reserves. Does anyone know how long it would take to receive this money? And also do you get all the money at once or do they just add part of the money to your paycheck? How fast do you get the military enlistment bonus? After you get to your first base you will receive half (it's taxed at 25%) and the rest it spread out over the term of your enlsitment. If you signed for 4 years, you'll get half in the beigning and the rest is paid to you in three payments, once a year.
At least, that's what I have heard, My husband's AF. We don't get enlistment bonuses. I'll be interested to see what people write. My husband is getting a re-enlistment bonus and we have no idea how that works :0)How fast do you get the military enlistment bonus?1) you only get that much for certain MOS, such as truck driver and infantry. Perfect if that is what you want anyway, but don't take an MOS for the bonus.
2) The 40K story varies, but I've heard some people say they got it after AIT in one lump sum, some say they got it over a few months, and a couple say 10K a year for four years.
3) the 20K comes in a lump sum when you enter the reserves.
4) if you do some things the army doesn't like, they can make you pay back the bonus. So make sure you know what you're agreeing to!How fast do you get the military enlistment bonus? My son will receive 40,000 for 18X, he enlisted for 5 years and had a ASVAV of 84, with a GT score of 122. Your bonus depends on your ABVAB, number of years you enlist for and your MOS. He will receive 10,000 after OSUT, then 10,000 every year after and that is before taxes. How fast do you get the military enlistment bonus?
You get your bonus after you complete Basic Training and your AIT (Advanced Individual Training).
Once you complete that, you should receive your bonus.
